ISF (Importer Security Filing) Full Enforcement began on May 14th, 2015.

Prior to May 14th, U.S. Customs protocol for ISF violations was start with three written warnings before moving to a liquidated damages penalty. Now, ISF penalties may be applied immediately. Announced Strike Actions in the Port of Antwerp

MTLS would like to inform you that in response to the latest coalition agreement as released by the Belgian Federal Government, the Belgian national union organizations have called for 3 provincial strike action days and for 1 national strike action day.

The first provincial action day will take place on Monday 24th November, and involves the provinces of Antwerp, Limburg, Luxemburg and Hainaut. The National action day has been announced for 15th December.

As of 1st January 2015, every ship operating within the Emission Control Area (ECA) must use higher quality fuels with a sulphur content of no more than 0.1% (current limit: 1.0%).
